VTN Class 3 Personal Certificates

These certificates provide the highest level of assurances within the VTN and they are issued to individuals and organizations and administrators for CAs and RAs. These certificates may be used for digital signatures, encryption and access control for proof of identity in high value transactions. They also provide assurances regarding the identity of the subscriber based on the personal presence of the subscriber before a person confirms the identity. The certificate comes with only one year validity and can be renewed again for one year.

VTN class 3 Certificates are issued to devices to provide authentication, message, software and content integrity and confidentiality through encryption. It assures the identity of the Subscriber and that he is entitled to use the domain name listed in the Certificate Application. It can also be used for secure, reliable, authentic e-mail by the web browser as an electronic membership card that wishes to restrict access while eliminating the need to remember usernames and passwords.
